Day 5 - Friday flexibility

Today’s workout is brought to you by one of TR’s longest active members, one of Grand Master Shin’s first “batch”, Former Miss Camarillo herself, Master Maya! Currently prepping for a National Taekwondo Poomse competition in Colorado Springs next week, she gave us a sneak peak at her stretching routine that keeps her flexible for the sharpest, high kicks! Enjoy!

Deep lunge. Then twist in, out.

Deep Lunges. Twisting

Pull toe back to get quads (ouch). Then do other side!

Donkey kicks to strengthen the hips. These hurt way more than they should.

Do a weird squat on the wall, then splits. I watch tv on my phone. Haha! 3 min for each.

Gravity is your friend!

Bridges with band strengthens the glutes and hips for holding those high kicks!

Then strengthen lower back in open cradle.

Lastly, stretch hammies ;)
