For the past year, we have been planting the seeds for our sparring team—building a strong foundation of training, teamwork, and competition experience. Up until now, our masters and coaches have dedicated countless extra hours each week—coordinating practices, providing specialized sparring training, and coaching through long tournament days—without asking for any additional support.
Competition Team requires significantly more time, planning, and staffing than our regular programs. In addition to extra practices and coaching, there is extensive behind-the-scenes work such as researching event logistics, registrations, paperwork, and scheduling.
Please note: tournament fees are paid directly to event organizers and do not go to our school. On competition days, we also still have to keep Tae Ryong fully staffed and running normally, while supporting our athletes off-site.
Unlike many schools and sport programs, Tae Ryong does not charge coaching fees or high team fees. We only ask for a $25/month donation to TRSA to help support the team and keep competition opportunities accessible.
We believe this is a value that remains inclusive for all participants, while allowing us to continue offering the highest level of training, coaching, and opportunities—on top of maintaining our regular Taekwondo and leadership programs. Your contribution ensures our athletes, coaches, and school continue to grow stronger together.
