Kellie Mannen was born and raised near Chicago, Illinois. Where she remained until earning her degree in Biomedical Sciences. She and her son Quinn moved to California 10 years ago in search of better weather. After moving to Thousand Oaks, Ms. Mannen and her son started a "Friday night is sushi night" routine. After eating Quinn would leave the restaurant early to watch the exciting Taekwondo classes a few doors down. It wasn't long, before he was in class kicking, punching, and having a blast. After enduring 3 months of pressure from her 7yr. old son Ms. Mannen decided to give Tae Ryong a try.

Quinn is now 10, working hard towards his 2nd Degree Black Belt. Ms. Mannen, the proud mother, is preparing to test for her 1st Degree Black Belt this May. Taekwondo is a shared activity that brings them closer while achieving a common goal. Ms. Mannen uses Taekwondo examples to help Quinn handle the everyday hurdles that life throws his way. She says the "Extra Bonus" has been making so many supportive friends, that are like-minded and, making healthy life choices for themselves and their families.
